Cupcake Nickname on Onesies, T-Shirts, Bibs: Cute Clothes Make Great Valentine's Day Gifts for Babies, Kids, Girlfriends, and Moms!

Little Characters has an adorable collection of clothes for with all the popular Baby Nicknames. I just drew some sweet designs for your Little Cupcake. Just in time for Valentine's Day!

Click on any picture to BUY NOW. The onesies, bibs, and shirts are all available with a variety of skin tones and hair and eye colors. Chose the message Little Cupcake or Cupcake. The pictures are available with a drawing of ababy beside the cupcake or with the cupcake alone. Since more than babies and toddlers answer to the nickname Cupcake, the design with the cupcake alone is available on kids, juniors, women's, plus-size, and maternity clothes, too.

You can email me at drawnbyk@gmail.com, and I'll happily personalize any product at no extra charge. Just describe the design you're choosing (cupcake with baby or without), the coloring (red hair, olive skin, green eyes, blue frosting, purple letters, etc), and the exact message ("Mommy's Little Cupcake", etc).

And there's even a thong available with the cute cupcake drawing for a cheeky Valentine's gift!

I think the cupcake designs are cute and marketable, but I've made some compromises as an artist.

My original sketches were of a more realistic baby laying on her tummy holding the cupcake. I thought the baby looked really sweet, but because the features were more realistic, it would be harder for parents to see their own baby's face in the drawing. It seems like a more generic baby cartoon will sell better.

I am excited about being able to offer a drawing of something that doesn't have a baby. I'm getting better at working with the layers in the Gimp program: my techie hubby would be proud. So many shopkeepers on the Cafepress forum recommended that I branch out and do that, because some parents just don't want their babies wearing babies. It also gives me a chance to offer products for older kids, adults, and men and women. Actually I even offer a Cupcake T-shirt for your pet dog!

I feel torn about the gender issues with this design. With the little hair bow and the abundance of pink, it seems like people will only buy this for girls. I have to admit that I enjoyed being able to draw in a girlie way without trying to make the features so neutral. It seems like the overwhelming majority of parents would only call a girl baby Cupcake (not a boy). But I don't feel good about not at least offering a more boy-friendly option . . . Maybe one with red lettering and blue frosting? Of course, that's still gender stereotyping. There's no reason that a little boy can't wear pink. The bottom line is that I don't have time to make any more variations on this design. I want to create some Purim and St.Patrick's Day designs, and it would be really nice to find some time to work on my Unitarian Universalist designs. Maybe next year I'll expand on what I've done so far.

Chose the message "Fusspot" or "Little Fusspot", or email me at drawnbyk@gmail.com, and I'll happily personalize a product with your child's name (at no extra charge).

I think this design is a good expression of me as an artist: I believe it's truly original and expresses my style. I tried to keep the baby very cute even though s/he's fussing and whining. Look closely and you can see the tiny light blue tears on the cheeks. I like having the baby take her stand in a teapot, too!

Little Buddha Nickname Onesies, T-Shirts, and Bibs

Little Characters has an adorable collection of clothes for your Little Buddha. If your baby seems wise beyond his months, the enlightened thing to do is buy him one of these sweet onesies!

Click on any picture and you can buy the product right away. The onesies are all available with a variety of skin tones and hair and eye colors. This design is also comes with your choice of background color - blue or pink. All of the featured products on this page are onesies, but you can also buy T-shirts and bibs.

The baby in this drawing has such a serene expression: I think it's a good representation for all those babies parents want to call "Little Buddha." My techie-genius husband created the glowing aura effect behind the baby. It makes the white lotus petals more clear against the white cloth and it makes it seem like the Buddha is being enlightened.

Munchkin Nickname Onesies, T-Shirts, and Bibs

Little Characters has an adorable collection of clothes for your Wee Munchkin. These baby clothes are perfect for a little shrimpy.

Click on any picture and you can buy the product right away. The onesies, bibs, and shirts are all available with a variety of skin tones and hair and eye colors. Chose the message "Munchkin" or "Little Munchkin", or email me at drawnbyk@gmail.com, and I'll happily personalize a product with your child's name (at no extra charge).

This design took a very long time! I had so much trouble getting the proportion in the baby's body right. I worked on it quite a lot when we were visiting family in Europe. My mother-in-law is a painter and she gave me some tips on how to redo it. I like the elements that suggest the Wizard of Oz: the rainbow lollipop (from the Lollipop Gang), the striped socks (like the striped tights), and the jingle-bell, swirly boots. Early in the design process, I considered drawing lederhosen! I think the final product is better.

Peanut Nickname Onesies, T-Shirts, and Bibs

Little Characters has an adorable collection of clothes for your Peanut.

Click on any picture and you can buy the product right away. The onesies, bibs, and shirts are all available with a variety of skin tones and hair and eye colors. Chose the message "Peanut" or "Little Peanut", or email me at drawnbyk@gmail.com, and I'll happily personalize a product with your child's name (at no extra charge).

I know there are a lot of other designs for Peanut on the internet, and some of them are cute, but I believe mine is the only one that has a drawing of a baby incorporated into the design. When I drew this design, I was just starting to change the way I sketched the babies' faces, and I really like the expression. I love how the baby looks like s/he's snuggled up in the peanut shell like a bed.

Little Sweetpea Nickname T-Shirts, Onesies, and Bibs

Little Characters has an adorable collection of clothes for Little Sweetpea babies and toddlers.

Click on any picture and you can buy the product right away. The onesies, bibs, and shirts are all available with a variety of skin tones and hair and eye colors. You can email me at drawnbyk@gmail.com, and I'll happily personalize a product with your child's name (at no extra charge).

I had some trouble with this design, because a small company has sued Cafepress shopkeepers who had "Sweetpea" designs in the past. You can read about it at http://www.sourpeas.org I didn't discover this legal issue until after I had worked hard to draw a design with the message "Sweetpea" and Cafepress notified me that I couldn't sell it. Needless to say, I was pretty upset! But I did a bit of research, and realized that I just had to make sure my message was "Little Sweetpea".

I think the lettering in this design is especially good. I am partial to swirlies, but I think they really match well, because they could be sweetpea vines. I like all the little hearts I drew in there, too: look for the tiny heart in the letter a!

Little Pumpkin Nickname T-Shirts, Onesies, and Bibs

Little Characters has an adorable collection of clothes for Little Pumpkin babies and toddlers.

Click on any picture and you can buy the product right away. The onesies, bibs, and shirts are all available with a variety of skin tones and hair and eye colors. Chose the message "Pumpkin" or "Little Pumpkin", or email me at drawnbyk@gmail.com, and I'll happily personalize a product with your child's name (at no extra charge).

This one was fun to draw. I like the way the baby's grin shows one little tooth: it makes the baby look a little like a Jack-O-Lantern. It makes a cute Halloween costume for a Baby's First Halloween, too.
